Biography

Caroline is a licensed clinical social worker who sees clients from our Urbandale office and is experienced in working with clients experiencing grief, stress, trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions. She utilizes a blend of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including person-centered, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), motivational interviewing (MI), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (T-FCBT), and mindfulness-based techniques. Caroline knows that everyone is unique and will work to understand who you are and what kind of approach would be most beneficial to you.
 

Caroline provides a safe environment to explore patterns of distress and relational dynamics, while fostering personal insight and meaningful change. Caroline’s wish for you is to find relief from distressing symptoms and emotional balance to live life meaningfully. She will work with you to learn new ways to cope with presenting concerns.
 

Caroline has over 10 years of experience as a licensed social worker working in various fields of practice including hospital case management, hospice, veterans’ affairs, child protective services, and school-based therapy. 
 

As a person, and as a therapist, Caroline is committed to antiracism work and providing quality care for clients of all identities. Caroline knows that working with clients, regardless of background, involves a continual process of openness, self-awareness, and self-reflection. Caroline is affirming of LGBTQIA+ individuals, and continuously seeks guidance, training, and ongoing consultation to provide ethical and informed care for all.
