Biography
Mona is a Licensed Master Social Worker who sees clients from our Coralville office and has ample experience in providing quality care to people of all different backgrounds. She has worked in community mental health agencies where clients presented with life struggles, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, serious mental illness, recovery issues, and the effects of past trauma. Her ever-evolving approach includes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches. Her approach includes person-centered, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral (CBT), motivational interviewing, mindfulness, and trauma-focused therapies including EMDR in situational, developmental, and existential contexts.
We are all faced with difficult and overwhelming challenges in life. Through therapy, Mona works to foster a sense of acceptance, self-awareness, and self-compassion, offering clients support and appropriate challenge as she walks with her clients to address these difficult experiences. Mona feels equipped to work with a wide array of issues, feeling as though no concern is too big or too small to seek help.
