Brittany Pernell (she/her) was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. It is her purpose and passion to work with adolescents/teenagers who are at risk of falling into the juvenile or adult justice system. She cares deeply for youth from this kind of background because she understands that society has often given them little to work with and that can have a lasting impact on their success in life but it is not their fault and they deserve the chance to advance just like anyone else. She is a temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has over 7 years of experience working in various mental health facilities and roles. Most recently having worked as Multi systemic Therapy therapist, Brittany provided in-home therapy to families of adolescent/teenage children to work through behavioral struggles that could have potentially led the youth to being placed out of the home. Brittany is persistent in the pursuit to ensure she is creating a safe, comfortable and nonjudgemental space for all clients to come as they are. She believes authenticity, on both sides of the therapeutic relationship, is paramount to client success and wellness.
