Brittany Pernell (she/her) was born and raised in Davenport, Iowa. It is her purpose and passion to work with adolescents/teenagers who are at risk of falling into the juvenile or adult justice system. She cares deeply for youth from this kind of background because she understands that society has often given them little to work with and that can have a lasting impact on their successBrittany is a Temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor with over seven years of experience in the mental health field. She has worked in a variety of settings and roles, supporting individuals and families as they navigate emotional, behavioral, and relational challenges. Much of her work has centered on helping adolescents manage anxiety, depression, and the unique stressors that come with growing up in today’s world. Most recently, she served as a Multisystemic Therapy (MST) therapist, providing in-home support to strengthen family connections and promote positive change.
Brittany is passionate about creating a safe, comfortable, and nonjudgmental space where clients can come as they are. She believes authenticity—on both sides of the therapeutic relationship—is essential to meaningful progress and overall wellness. Her approach is compassionate, collaborative, and rooted in the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to grow and thrive.in life but it is not their fault and they deserve the chance to advance just like anyone else. She is a temporary Licensed Mental Health Counselor and has over 7 years of experience working in various mental health facilities and roles. Most recently having worked as Multi systemic Therapy therapist, Brittany provided in-home therapy to families of adolescent/teenage children to work through behavioral struggles that could have potentially led the youth to being placed out of the home. Brittany is persistent in the pursuit to ensure she is creating a safe, comfortable and nonjudgemental space for all clients to come as they are. She believes authenticity, on both sides of the therapeutic relationship, is paramount to client success and wellness.
