Welcome, I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Cierra (she/her) and I am a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I work primarily with youth and adolescents and recognize that caregiver involvement catalyzes meaningful progress. I aim to keep caregivers involved in the therapy process by helping them understand the key skills their child is learning, so they can offer support and reinforcement at home. I also have experience working with LGBTQIA+ adolescents and am committed to creating a supportive, affirming environment where clients feel fully seen, respected, and valued for who they are. My therapeutic approach combines Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), which helps clients recognize and change unhelpful thought patterns, with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), which encourages living in line with personal values. I also draw from Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help clients build emotional regulation skills and learn strategies for coping with difficult situations and emotions. My style is warm, down-to-earth, and client-centered. I believe that as the client, you’re in the driver’s seat, and I’m there to help you navigate. I am radically authentic in my practice, meaning I show up as my real self in the therapy room and encourage my clients to do the same. When both therapist and client can be honest, open to new ideas, and genuine, it helps us build the strong and trusting relationship needed to create the change you want to see. So, if you’ve ever felt like your thoughts are running the show—like there’s a broken record in your head that just won’t let up—I get it. My goal is to help you reconnect with the wisdom and strength you already carry inside to find balance and peace. Together, we can discover what matters to you and learn how to face life’s challenges with clarity, confidence, and self-compassion.
