Biography
Gloria (she/her) is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) based in the Iowa City office. She works with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, and life transitions—especially during times when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or just “off track.” Gloria is especially passionate about supporting people through periods of change, whether that’s starting something new, adjusting to relationship shifts, or seeking clarity amid stress or self-doubt. She understands how easy it is to feel stuck during these moments and works alongside clients to help them feel more grounded, confident, and in control of where they’re headed.
Her approach is warm, collaborative, and practical. Gloria focuses on creating a space where clients feel comfortable being themselves, while also gently challenging patterns that may be holding them back. She integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and person-centered therapy to help clients better understand their thoughts, navigate emotions, and take meaningful steps toward the life they want. Gloria enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety and depression, as well as those exploring identity, navigating relationship challenges, or moving through major life transitions. She believes that even small shifts can lead to meaningful change and is committed to helping clients build resilience, self-trust, and a stronger sense of purpose. She believes you don’t have to have everything figured out to begin. Wherever you are in your journey, Gloria would be honored to support you in taking the next step forward.
