I am particularly passionate about helping adults struggling with challenges in their relationships, negative self-perception, and looking to make changes to unhelpful patterns and cycles in their lives. As a gay/queer, Asian-American, and neurodivergent therapist, it is impossible for me not to recognize the impact of identity, relationships, and context on one’s wellbeing. As such, I work primarily from a Feminist, Psychodynamic lens, helping client to explore the impact of social norms and expectations on how clients see themselves, what they expect of themselves and the world around them, and how those expectations are translated into actions that may keep them stuck in a cycle.

Working with me looks like collaborating in:

• Exploring how your past experiences of relationships, identity, and society shape your understanding and expectations of yourself, others, and the world around you.

• Identifying and generating insight into how those expectations help or hinder you from contact with what you value and who you want to be.

• Committing to actions and making incremental changes that help you unhook from cyclical maladaptive patterns, getting you closer to what you value and who you want to be in the world.

Starting your journey towards healing is daunting, but through the safe, supportive, collaborative and authentic space and relationship we co-create in therapy, we can work together to confront and challenges patterns, and make the changes that are important to you and aligned with your goals in life.
