Clinical Specialties
Kaitlyn (she/her/hers) is a licensed Social Worker in our Davenport office who provides therapy services to children, adolescents, and adults. She emphasizes trauma informed care as she began her career as a Social Worker providing advocacy services to survivors of domestic violence. As a medical advocate, Kaitlyn helped provide 24/7 on-call support at hospitals to help individuals who had faced domestic violence or sexual assault. As a counselor, Kaitlyn helps people overcome trauma. Between her experience as a domestic violence survivor’s advocate and as an intern at the Rock Island County Children’s Advocacy Center, she has learned how to help individuals with trauma through evidence-based practices such as Motivational Interviewing and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral therapy. Kaitlyn uses these skills to also help individuals who are struggling with eating disorders and other mental health challenges as well. Kaitlyn is currently certified by the Iowa Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) and the Iowa Coalition Against Sexual Assault (IowaCASA) to continue to provide medical advocacy services to survivors in the state of Iowa. As a therapist, Kaitlyn continues developing skills to help empower individuals to live better lives.
