Madeline (she/her/hers) is a conditionally licensed Psychologist at the Iowa City office who works with clients with a variety of concerns. Madeline primarily uses Narrative Therapy practices when working with clients. She is particularly interested in providing space for clients to highlight preferred ways of living, identify discourses that interfere with these stories, and deconstruct problem stories that contribute to their distress. Madeline is committed to working with clients in a way that positions the problem as “outside” of the person and that challenges the ways that we pathologize behavioral and emotional experiences. Madeline also uses cognitive behavioral therapy interventions as relevant and useful to clients.
