Biography

Marina is a compassionate clinician who approaches therapy as a journey and transformation. Marina emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic relationship by building trust with her clients through open communication, attentiveness, and honesty. In sessions, Marina utilizes a variety of modalities to meet the needs of clients such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Marina believes that people are fluid and require a space to be authentic, change their minds, and be curious of themselves and their environment. Marina has a commitment to her clients of being fully present and genuine during session time, she invites her clients to come as they are without pressure to conform.

Marina has experience working with individuals who were previously incarcerated, those with traumatic brain injuries (TBI), and clients who experience a wide variety of symptoms due to relationship struggles and life transitions. As an adoptee herself, Marina is interested in supporting individuals with navigating personal and cultural identity by using trauma-informed care and person-in-environment perspective. Marina provides collaborative therapy for individuals 13+ who are ready to take an active role in achieving their goals and building a fulfilling life.
