Meghan Kern (she/her/hers) is a temporary Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (tLMHC) who works with adults, young adults, adolescents, and children. She helps clients identify and pursue their therapy goals while supporting them through the healing process. With experience working with diverse populations and a wide range of presenting concerns—including anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, sexual orientation, gender identity, and trauma—Meghan empowers individuals to recognize their strengths, access meaningful resources, and grow at their own pace. She is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can share their stories, explore personal growth, and embrace the idea that learning about oneself and the world is a lifelong journey. Meghan emphasizes trusting, supportive therapeutic relationships across all ages. She incorporates play therapy techniques to offer younger clients a natural and developmentally appropriate way to express thoughts and emotions. For clients of all ages, she draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and trauma-informed approaches to support emotional regulation, build confidence, and navigate life’s challenges.
Her therapeutic style blends Person-Centered, Adlerian, CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and holistic perspectives. Meghan tailors her approach to each client’s needs, prioritizing collaboration and creating space for meaningful change. She is committed to walking alongside clients as they navigate challenges, discover their strengths, and build fulfilling, authentic lives.
