Melissa (she/her) is a temporary licensed Mental Health Counselor supporting adults in understanding how past experiences and ways of coping continue to shape their thoughts, relationships, and daily life. Melissa is committed to creating an inclusive and affirming environment where clients of all identities feel safe, respected, and understood. She works collaboratively with clients to explore their experiences and make sense of patterns in how they think, feel, and relate to others. Her approach focuses on helping clients build self-compassion and better understand their internal experience. She also helps clients explore different aspects of themselves, including parts that may feel conflicting, overwhelmed, or disconnected.

Her approach is trauma-informed, attachment-based, and grounded in psychodynamic theory, integrating evidence-based interventions including Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma, as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO-DBT).
