Melissa (she/her) is a graduate student intern pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Grand View University. She works with adults, offering a compassionate, collaborative space where clients can explore their thoughts, emotions, and experiences with openness and curiosity. Melissa brings a rich background and diverse life experiences to her work, which inform her grounded, empathetic presence in the therapy room. Her approach draws on person-centered and psychodynamic principles, with an emphasis on attachment and trauma-informed care. She is especially passionate about supporting LGBTQ+ individuals and neurodivergent clients, and she is drawn to exploring identity and the inner world in a thoughtful, respectful way. Melissa believes healing happens through authentic connection and is honored to walk alongside clients on their journey toward greater self-understanding and emotional well-being.
