NNoelle Andrew (she/her/hers) is a mental health counselor based in our Iowa City office whose specialties include anxiety, depression, grief, crisis and trauma, bereavement, youth and children, gender and LGBTQ+ issues, and life transitions. Years of meeting people of all backgrounds in their time of need has shaped Noelle’s person-centered clinical approach. Noelle believes in the power of the unique and original story within each person; and, as a clinician, Noelle’s first responsibility is to create a safe and comforting space for that story to be told.

Noelle believes that by making the decision to engage in therapy people have already made a brave and healthy choice. Noelle has extensive vocational experience centered on meeting people of diverse ages, backgrounds, and faith traditions and is an advocate of human strength and resilience. Clients can count on Noelle to be an affirming ally and calming presence, even amidst difficult experiences, and to collaborate toward goals that bring improved well-being and fulfillment.

Striving to bring positivity and hope, Noelle utilizes a variety of clinical techniques including mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), and research-based therapy (RBT). These techniques both affirm the unique individuality of each person while at the same time fostering holistically positive mental health outcomes. Noelle also draws on the multidisciplinary skills and resources of Green Counseling Services to help assist the needs of the “whole person.” By empowering clients to harness and foster their own inner strengths, Noelle seeks to guide and provide each person with building blocks to create a successful future.
