As a mental health professional based in our Coralville office with many years of experience in a hospital, corporate wellness, and community crisis counseling settings, Sarah (she/her/hers) is passionate about helping others. Sarah received her Master of Social Work degree from the University of Iowa in 2019. Throughout her experiences, She has witnessed individuals make meaningful and lasting changes in their lives, drawing strength from their experiences and the struggles they have overcome. Sarah wants to help individuals be the best version of themselves and help them work through any past trauma that might be holding them back.

As an Army veteran with over 21 years of service, including two overseas deployments, Sara has a special interest in working with veterans. In addition, Sarah has worked with college students, individuals who have experienced sexual harassment, sexual assault, depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance use, life transitions, family issues, and disordered eating. Sarah uses a strength-based approach with cultural considerations and a systems perspective. She utilizes a variety of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including person-centered, strength-based, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), and dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT).

Sarah truly believes everyone can benefit from therapy.
