Biography
Tyler Kuhn is a Licensed Master Social Worker who offers a warm, collaborative, and strengths-based approach to therapy. He works with adults navigating a wide range of life concerns, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, academic and career-related stress, substance use, burnout, relationship challenges, and major life transitions. Tyler approaches therapy from a person-in-environment perspective, recognizing how family, work, school, healthcare, and broader systems shape mental health, and he supports clients in navigating these systems while staying grounded in their values and goals.
Tyler’s clinical work integrates Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). He helps clients develop greater awareness of thought and behavior patterns, build practical coping skills, and make values-informed changes that support overall wellbeing. His work is also informed by harm-reduction principles, meeting clients where they are and supporting thoughtful, individualized choices around substance use. Tyler earned his Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa and brings experience from higher-education and where he supported students and professionals navigating academic pressure and demanding environments. He strives to create a therapeutic space that feels supportive, authentic, and tailored to each client’s goals.
Tyler practices under clinical supervision as required for licensure.
