Courtney (she/her/hers) is a licensed independent social worker that works out of the West Des Moines location in person and via telehealth. She has experience as a therapist in a community health center and advocacy with domestic violence cases. She utilizes multiple therapeutic approaches including the following: person centered, strengths based, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused, Motivational Interviewing (MI), Internal Family Systems (IFS), mindful techniques with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and will be fully trained in EMDR in the year of 2024. She will work with you to find the combination of approaches that will work best for you.

Two of Courtney's major strengths are patience and empathy to help build a relationship with her clients. She welcomes clients from all backgrounds and strives to continually educate herself on the cultural identities of those who may find themselves outside of the normative cultural standards. She loves working with teenage clients through senior ages. Courtney will work with you to build off your strengths by meeting you where you are at in order to work towards being the best version of yourself.
