Clinical Specialties
Elisabeth (she/her/hers) is a neurodivergent therapist and clinical social worker based in our Iowa City office. She’s autistic and ADHD herself, and she works best with individual adults who’ve always felt a little (or a lot) out of place—whether due to neurodivergence, identity, or growing up in environments that didn’t leave room for their reality.
Elisabeth works with clients navigating masking, burnout, emotional overwhelm, or big identity shifts—especially folks who are late-diagnosed or self-identified autistic, ADHD, and others whose minds don't fit the mold. Many of her clients are also moving through grief, trauma, or chronic stress, often while carrying the weight of marginalization tied to race, culture, gender, disability, or sexuality.
In sessions, Elisabeth offers a space that’s steady, low-pressure, and shaped around what each client needs. Therapy with her isn’t about having a plan or the right words—it’s about having room to be real, even when things feel messy or uncertain. Elisabeth works alongside clients at a pace that feels doable. It’s okay not to have everything figured out. However clients show up is welcome.
